Product Questions

Why are Harmony Bay Coffees less expensive than gourmet coffee sold on other web sites?
All our coffees are strictly 100% Arabica beans that we carefully source from the country of origin. At our plant, we batch roast the beans with great care and effort. Our decorative shaped steel cans are more expensive than ordinary bags or “frac packs”. We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Harmony Bay coffee is so good, you can give our decorative cans as a gift, and be assured the recipient is getting a great cup of coffee.

We are less expensive than other coffee web sites because we want to sell more coffee than the other guys! It’s that simple. There are literally hundreds of web sites selling gourmet coffee. When you order on harmonybaycoffee.com, you know are getting an outstanding product AND a great value. We want to build our business and have pleased, loyal customers.

Is there any nut flavoring the your Hazelnut coffee?
No, the Hazelnut has no natural nut flavoring.

Is there any Gluten in your coffee?
No, the Harmony Bay coffee has no Wheat or Wheat products (including Gluten) in our products.

Is there any Milk in your coffee?
No, the Harmony Bay coffee has no Milk or Milk products (including whey, lactose, casein, milk, cream) in our products.

Is there any sugar or calories in the flavorings?
No, the flavorings contain no sugar and add zero calories to the coffee.

Is the coffee Kosher?
Yes, The Rabbinical Council of New England certified all Comfort Foods coffees Kosher as of January 2004.

What is the valve on the top of the can?
The “one way valve” is widely used on whole bean coffee bags, and we have incorporated this feature on to most of our cans. The valve allows carbon dioxide gas to escape from the coffee, but does not permit oxygen to enter the can. This permits us to pack the coffee “hot”, right from the roaster, giving you the freshest, best tasting coffee available.

What is the best way to store coffee once opened?
This is a matter of some debate. Our advice is if you are going to use the coffee is a relatively short amount of time (within a week), you can keep the can on your counter. Be sure to keep it covered. For longer storage, we recommend the freezer over the refrigerator. There are less food odors and moisture in the freezer. There is no need to thaw coffee, just scoop into the filter and brew.
